5 simple movements
In this video there are 5 simple movements on the ball, to keep the hips flexible and healthy. Make sure that you are on the right size of ball (see the video in the section).
Sun Salutations
One round of sun salutation, tailored for pregnancy.
This can be practiced at any time of your pregnancy, with variations if you need it, and feel free to have a cushion for the knees.
Do it as many times as you like!
3rd Trimester Class
You can practice this anytime, but it is of particular benefit to those in the third trimester. We use a lot of props in this class, so you will need a ball, chair, scarf, cushions and blankets. It is 80 minutes long.
Breathing Class
Breathing can be a great companion to you through life, but through birth it becomes your best friend! We practice 2 very simple but effective techniques here in this class, the simple counting breath and breathing through a contraction. Also included, a practice for commitment! This was filmed in a live class at Lough Road Yoga.
Cocooning
Cocooning can be used in pre labour, and also in the hospital, just to give you the space you need to be undisturbed if you want it. Also, in this class we do a sun salutation and some lunges. You will need the ball, scarf and cushion.
Rest between poses
Everyone focuses on the contractions and the work during birth, but what about the times between, when you can and should rest? We can't recreate the birth itself but this class tries to reflect the ups and downs, with creative ways in which to conserve your energy in those quieter times. Suitable for all stages of pregnancy, and you will need a ball plus lots of cushions.
